How to set up an MFA device in PingID

This article instructs a user on how to set up an MFA device in Ping ID

  • Navigate to https://desktop.pingone.com/tulsacounty  and log in with your Tulsa County credentials.
  • Use only your username - not the entire email address. (Example: jsmith  not  jsmith@tulsacounty.org)

 

  • Click on your profile in the top right corner and select "Devices".

  • On the devices page, click on the "+ Add" button.

  • A new window will appear with various methods of authentication.

  • It is strongly recommended that you select “SMS” as your primary method of authentication.

  • However, if you would prefer to not use a personal device, choose the Email option and utilize your Tulsa County Email Address to receive the authentication code.

  • When you select “SMS” a new window will appear prompting for your telephone number.

  • ​​​​​After entering your number, a code will be sent to your phone. 
  • Enter the code into the text box.

  • ​​​​​​You should now see that your device has been added as an authentication method. You may add more authentication methods if you wish, but only one is necessary.
